Ever wonder why you were taught that how you feel doesn’t matter? Why you were taught that "feelings" are gendered, weak, unproductive... ? Why you were taught to carry your trauma, not heal it?
That is because healing it would mean feeling it - and emotions disrupt the hierarchical status quo. Thus, we have been schooled to shove our emotions and just believe that some of us are more deserving than others in order to perpetuate.
In response, I have identified 13 main patterns of generational trauma caused by the colonization of our fundamental needs via control, manipulation, and deprivation.
To reach our fullest potential, personally and collectively, WE must break thru these patterns. That can be done by engaging our emotional literacy. Instead of questioning what we think about a situation, we must question how we feel about it.
I go into greater depth about each pattern in my book. In chapter 16 "energy" I explain how I came to create my "theory of relative-ity" and my "feel, better" energetic exchange barometer.
During a ME university session I will often refer to these concepts as WE learn how to feel and meet our needs more humanely.
